Don’t know much about this yet, except that its from South Africa?  And it is good!!!

This new website looks promising: East Austinite.  It is all about the “East Side” of Austin, Texas, where I happen to live, work, and play (when I have the time.)  What I like:  the layout and the simplicity.  I feel at home when I visit the page.   I also feel like it could use more content, but who am I do judge about that? I think its because the East Austin is getting so established so fast, that they have their work cut out for them, and since this site is relatively new I feel they have plenty of time to figure it out.  I really wish it had some sort of “East side directory of cool things to do.”

By clicking on that link I do not hold myself responsible for your housemates, wife, or dog thinking you are absolutely insane for laughing at an inatimate object, your computer screen.

I would also like to say for the record that as with most musicians/perfomers discography or music history I am most amused/entertained by this video, which seems to be the earliest of the set:

I guess since this has turned into my nerdcore post, I should give serious mention to Damp Heat, who I want to see battle terp2it.

It only costs $5 if you show up on time, at 7pm.  If you show up late, you can get in for $7 at the intermission, which is 8:30pm.

Presented by a new collaborative called Hideout and Seek, four local Austinites intent on presenting new, experimental, and innovative mediums in a positive and unified setting.

So I send out the press release announcing the Acro-Cats Austin tour schedule, which is a seven day stint at The City Theatre Austin.

For your viewing pleasure, they will be here September 12th-18th.  See you there!
