This is amazing. I just found out about this just surfing youtube for “weirdo” music, but this resonates with me, pun intended, than more anglo modern music. Samsimar – Indang Pariaman
I think there is some perfect combination with what sounds like a casio keyboard sound and the vocals. (Not sure if that might even be some kind of well mixed native instrument!)

Things are so strange, sometimes. My representation/interpretation of an anti-acl show(s) comes in three formats this year. How about a small intimate gathering of weirdos, who will treat you like instant family? Something, Something Inc. at Cherrywood Coffeehouse on Friday the 16th will do just that, while the Acro-Cats of Chicago will be at The City Theatre from September 12th through the 18th.

F!@$ doing a festival when the “festival” is what we are lamenting? F!#$ getting a buttload of sponsors so that bands you see every day all day seven days a week can play in traffic you cant get around in, and people can get so drunk they get arrested. How about a nice quiet night for once? How about a Saturday night, like the 17th, where you can do and hear nothing but the sounds of your own voices, if you wish…NOTHING? Complete silence? Yes, on the deck at Cherrywood, Saturday night, there will be nothing, for your enjoyment. Hope you like it.

This new website looks promising: East Austinite. It is all about the “East Side” of Austin, Texas, where I happen to live, work, and play (when I have the time.) What I like: the layout and the simplicity. I feel at home when I visit the page. I also feel like it could use more content, but who am I do judge about that? I think its because the East Austin is getting so established so fast, that they have their work cut out for them, and since this site is relatively new I feel they have plenty of time to figure it out. I really wish it had some sort of “East side directory of cool things to do.”
